Wedding at Pats Peak | Emily and Matt

Emily and Matt’s wedding at Pats Peak was filled with fall colors such as rust orange, red, and yellow. I am here for the fall wedding season and its colors!

Once Emily and Matt were ready, I snuck them away to share a private first look by the venue’s gazebo. After a first look filled with smiles, we met up with the wedding party. The wedding party also consisted of their dog, Brutus! Naturally, as most fur babies do, Brutus stole the show in his wedding day attire. While guests arrived at the venue, I decided to sneak Emily, Matt, and Brutus up the mountain real quick for a couple of portraits. We piled into my car and drove up to find the perfect viewpoint. The scene was perfection and Emily and Matt were stunning.

Emily and Matt actually tied the knot officially in 2018, but they never had a big celebration. So, this ceremony was more of a vow renewal of sorts in front of their family and friends. When it came time for the ring exchange, they realized that they both had forgotten to remove their bands before the ceremony. This moment sparked laughter among them and their guests. After the ceremony, we wrapped up family pictures with a huge group photo, which is practically a family tradition for Emily and Matt family! There was so much laughter during these photos as they made the silliest faces.

At their reception, they shared a first dance, followed by toasts. Brutus, the Best Dog, hung out under the sweetheart table most of the night. He was wiped out from his big debut! Instead of cake, Emily’s coworker made fall-themed cupcakes for everyone. They were delicious! When it was finally time to open the dance floor, Matt was ready! He was the first one out on the dance floor and, let me tell you, he danced his heart out the entire night. As Emily had told me earlier that day, the dance floor is his natural habitat and when the music starts it’s like the call of the wild to him!
