Timeless Sunset Beach Wedding in Kennebunkport, ME

This weekend I had an amazing time shooting Paige + Chaz’s timeless beach wedding in Kennebunkport, ME. I am still playing it over and over in my head as it was such a perfect day! The day started off with the beautiful bride getting ready with her bridesmaids in matching navy blue satin robes! I love when bridesmaids wear matching outfits to get ready. They shared a toast of champagne and then began getting into their wedding day wardrobe! The various shades of sea glass colored bridesmaids dresses complimented the lovely arrangement of white and blush pink flowers! Paige wore a blue sapphire ring from her grandmother, checking off both something blue and something old!

In the meantime, the guys were getting ready over at King’s Port Inn. Paige custom designed the ties worn by the groom, groomsmen, and her grandfather! She also gifted Chaz a new watch to wear for the wedding, which he opened while getting ready!

After getting ready, Paige shared a first look with her bridesmaids and then with her grandfather who would later walk her down the aisle! Both were such sweet and emotional moments. I am so happy we were able to capture it all!

The First Look

Once Paige & Chaz were both ready, they headed outside for their first look and intimate vow exchange before the ceremony. Both of them shed a few tears throughout the first look and vows. I love that they reserved this private moment for each other. After their heartfelt vows, we gathered the bridal party together for a few shots and then it was time for the ceremony!

Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

Paige decided to save her veil for the ceremony! This way Chaz would still be a little surprised since it would be something slightly new after the first look. Paige’s mom helped put in her veil right before the ceremony. The ceremony took place outside at the Louis T. Graves Memorial Public Library. The library features beautiful landscapes and gardens that made for a picture-perfect ceremony. The bride and groom had a reserved seat at the ceremony for the groom’s best man who recently passed away, and it was such a beautiful tribute to someone they loved so much.

Sailboat Reception

After the beautiful wedding ceremony, we captured a few portraits and then headed to the reception! The reception took place on a docked sailboat, that is also a restaurant, The Spirit Restaurant. It was amazing! The Maine coastline is simply gorgeous! I am so happy they chose to incorporate the seaside beauty and charm of Maine! It was a photographer’s dream!

Right before sunset, I stole the newlyweds to drive down to the beach for sunset portraits! The rocky beaches were the PERFECT backdrop! These are possibly some of my favorite wedding photos of all time. The combination of the waves crashing up against the rocks, the train of Paige’s wedding dress draping over the rocks onto the beach, and the dreamy sunset created the most epic golden hour wedding photos!
