Jackie and Woody’s summer wedding at Owl’s Nest Resort was a magical day filled with joy, love, and laughter. Against the gorgeous backdrop of this New Hampshire wedding venue their wedding day unfolded. The day began with Jackie and her bridesmaids getting ready in matching sage green PJ’s. As they readied, Jackie’s Maid of Honor gifted her a box filled with heartfelt letters from her and the bridesmaids. It was such a sweet sentiment and you could tell it meant the world to Jackie as she read through the heartfelt words.
Once ready, Jackie and her dad shared a first look, before she went outside to meet Woody for their first look moment. Despite the forecast predicting rain all day, we ended up with nice weather right up until the ceremony, which allowed us to still capture stunning wedding portraits of the bride and groom outdoors!
Summer Wedding at Owl’s Nest Resort
Due to the rain that eventually came right before the ceremony, a change was made, moving the ceremony to the top floor of the Lakehouse, which was just as gorgeous! One thing was certain, nothing was going to stop Jackie and Woody from saying “I DO!”. After their beautiful ceremony, the rain had slowed down to a drizzle giving us an opportunity to capture a few quick newlywed portraits on the balcony of the Lakehouse.
The reception took place in the Lakehouse, which is one of Owl’s Nest’s newest and most beloved spots. This gorgeous Thornton, NH wedding venue is one of my favorites, and I absolutely love shooting here. It provides a breathtaking backdrop for weddings with its waterfront property and views of the White Mountains. Jackie and Woody’s color palette of teal, sage, soft yellows, and shades of pink, added a touch of elegance and vibrancy to the wedding. These rich summer hues reflected the couple’s style while also complementing the natural beauty of the venue.
One of the highlights of the evening was Jackie and Woody’s choreographed first dance. Twirls, dips, and lifts filled the dance floor. It was so much fun to watch and became a memorable moment for all their guests, as they witnessed the couple’s love and chemistry come alive, setting the stage for an incredible night!
Jackie and Woody, your wedding was truly an unforgettable evening. Every aspect of your day was filled with love, joy, and beautiful memories, and you both just radiate sunshine! Thank you so much for allowing me to be a part of your magical day! Cheers to you both!
