There are so many wonderful moments to share from Danielle and Erik’s classic winter wedding at Sky Meadow Country Club located in Nashua, NH. Not only was their day absolutely beautiful, but there were so many special details that came together to make their day that much more amazing. I loved the classic and timeless black and white theme of their wedding day. Danielle and her bridesmaids carried white flower wedding bouquets filled with baby’s breath, which popped against their sophisticated black bridesmaids dresses.

Danielle had a penny in her stylish black wedding heels, which was the same penny her mom’s father put in her mom’s shoe on her wedding day for good luck! She also wore aqua blue diamond earrings that were borrowed from Erik’s mom for her something borrowed and blue. The earrings were special as Erik’s mom received them as a gift from Erik’s dad when Erik was born. 

As Danielle and her bridesmaids readied, she wore a stunning white robe that was made from her mom’s wedding dress! It was beautiful! They also used her mom’s wedding dress for the bow on the back of Danielle’s chair at their sweetheart table. I love when couples infuse personal and sentimental details into their wedding day! Once the ladies were ready, we headed over to the church for the ceremony. Before tying the knot, Danielle shared a special first look with her dad. His reaction was too sweet!

Classic Winter Wedding

 The couple tied the knot at their home church, which was just another sentimental detail. After the ceremony, we captured some portraits in the sanctuary before heading over to Sky Meadow Country Club to finish up. We attempted to capture sunset portraits, but we only lasted one minute and 17 seconds, according to the timestamps on the images! Their wedding day happened to fall on the  coldest day of the year. That day actually broke records for coldest temperature, which was a frigid negative six degrees by the time of the reception, plus wind chill! However, Danielle and Erik look amazing in the portraits we did manage to get. You would never know it was THAT cold! 

These two love the winter time, which is one reason they picked a winter wedding date. In fact, every person who gave a toast later in the evening made sure to mention how much they love the cold, so God must have thought he was doing them a favor by giving them the literal coldest day of the year! After freezing outside, we warmed up by the fire for some warmer, intimate wedding portraits. 

Sky Meadow Country Club Reception

At the reception, the couple had vintage champagne glasses on their sweetheart table, which also held a special meaning. Danielle is a nurse who cared for an elderly couple with dementia. That couple had a wedding picture cheersing these glasses, and even though they hardly remembered each other, the couple always smiled when they looked at that wedding photo. That moment left an impression on Danielle and when she later found the exact same glasses at the store, she knew she had to get them for her wedding and recreate the photo, which is exactly what we did! 

As their wedding night winded down, I captured them standing together in the corner, taking the moment in and basking in the joy of their amazing wedding day! It was the perfect way to end the night.
