I had the honor of photographing Robin and Nate’s magical Oceanfront Autumn Wedding last weekend. The entire day was a beautiful reflection of Robin and Nate’s love for one another. While it looks like their wedding was held at a premier seaside wedding venue, it was actually the home of a family friend! The private residence where the couple got ready and had their outdoor ceremony and reception was a gorgeous house on the beach in Rye, NH. Robin got ready in one of the rooms with the help of her mom. Robin looked radiant in her gorgeous wedding dress, which was actually tailored by Robin’s mom, with lots of love of course! How amazing is that?
Meanwhile the groom readied in a separate space. Nate wore blue socks that featured the faces of Robin and Nate’s two dogs that couldn’t attend the ceremony. I loved this personal touch and creative way of including their fur babies in their wedding!
The First Look
After getting ready, the couple shared a first look out on a private balcony. As Nate was turned facing the beautiful ocean, Robin snuck up behind him and gave him a little butt squeeze. HA! He jumped a little before turning to see his bride. I love the pure joy dancing across both of their faces in that moment. Throughout their first look, ladybugs were all over them, which we decided was a good luck sign! They really loved Robin’s veil and flowers! After their first look, they exchanged private vows they had written for each other. It was incredibly sweet. I love that Robin and Nate were able to share this intimate moment and pause time on this otherwise busy day.
As we headed downstairs to the front of the property we grabbed a few wedding portraits, as well as photos with the bridal party before the start of their wedding ceremony. The bridesmaids wore gorgeous steel blue dresses which were accented by white and mauve flower bouquets.
Oceanfront Autumn Wedding
The bright fall sun shined down on the bride and groom as they stood under the wooden triangle wedding arch. The weather could not have been more perfect for their oceanfront autumn wedding. It was easily the sunniest day in October so far!
The ceremony and the entire reception took place outside in the beautiful backyard that provided a breathtaking view of the ocean. A dance floor was placed in the center of the lawn with twinkle lights strung above. It was absolutely magical! The newlyweds shared their first dance together, before I stole them away for their golden hour portraits on the beach!
As the sun slowly started to set, we walked along the rocky seashore as I captured the beautiful newlyweds. It was so perfect and romantic! Before long, we headed back to their outdoor reception where the celebration of the newlyweds continued into the evening!
Robin and Nate, your wedding day was perfect! I am so honored and thankful to have been a part of your special day. I wish you guys all the happiness in the world! Congratulations!
