For Lindsey and Alex’s big day, I made the almost a three hour drive to western, MA to document their Williams Inn wedding. It was totally worth it though, as not only are Lindsey and Alex amazing people who share a beautiful love, but this Williamstown, MA venue was absolutely beautiful. There were several gorgeous spots all over the property that we took advantage of throughout the day as I photographed them together. This venue also has the benefit of everything being onsite, which made getting ready and coordinating day-of events easy.
Lindsey got ready with the help of her mom and two bridesmaids. Once ready, she shared a sweet, teary-eyed first look with her dad before going outside to see Alex. There, next to a field of tall grass, the couple shared private vows after their first look. I have to say, this is my favorite trend! It allows you to share a special, private moment with your partner and truly say what’s in your heart without a hundred pairs of eyes and ears on you. It is such an intimate and special moment before the craziness of the day begins to unfold.
Williams Inn Wedding in Western MA
After private vows were exchanged and a few wedding portraits captured, we headed back towards the building to photograph the bridal party. The bridesmaids wore light cream colored dresses that added to the light, ethereal look of the wedding day. I loved the classic and timeless wedding colors in shades of green and white. Everything was beautifully centered around white florals and greenery. The landscaping around the building complemented the style wonderfully with tall white flowers surrounded by lush vegetation, making it a perfect backdrop for wedding photos.
The wedding ceremony took place outside in a dreamy spot on the property. Throughout the ceremony (and after), guests could be seen wiping tears away. Lindsey and Alex have the sweetest love and they have clearly touched many hearts.
Joyful + Memorable Reception
The heartfelt tears gave way to laughter and celebration as their reception was SO fun! Between the choreographed entrance by Lindsey’s parents, Lindsey and Alex’s expertly choreographed first dance, and Lindsey’s fun choreographed dance with her father, it was a night to remember!
The tears weren’t over, however, as the evening toasts made everyone emotional. In fact, Lindsey’s dad even placed a bet on how many people would cry before he gave his toast (spoiler alert, he was right)! Alex’s niece shared some sweet words as well. The entire evening was a testament to the love Alex and Lindsey share and how they, both individually and together, have touched the lives around them. The newlyweds and their guests partied the night away and Lindsey and Alex even did a celebratory shot ski before the evening ended!
Alex and Lindsey, your wedding day was truly amazing from beginning to end. It brought me so much joy to witness your love and the lives you’ve touched. Photographing your gorgeous wedding was an honor and I wish you all the love and happiness in your future together. Cheers!
