I recently traveled to Saco, Maine for Erica and Larry’s gorgeous River Winds Farm & Estate Wedding. It was a magical day that I won’t soon forget. This beautiful venue sits on 160 sprawling acres of lawns and gardens, pastures, and woodlands all along the Saco River. The property features a fully restored historic home, Austin House, which is where the girls readied in their matching robes. As they got ready, they popped some bubbly that made for some great memories and photos! The guys got ready in the venue’s dedicated space, the Man Cave, which is a separate building just outside of Austin House.
All morning, we were anxiously keeping an eye on the weather, as the forecast predicted rain. Thankfully, it never came down on us and we were still able to have the ceremony and the first half of their reception outside!
I loved the triangular wedding arch at their ceremony, decorated with the most beautiful arrangement of summer florals. As guests filed into the ceremony, a friend of the couple played classical music, setting the tone for the evening.
River Winds Farm & Estate Wedding
After the ceremony, we enjoyed the patio area and the beautiful views for cocktails and dancing. I thought it was so cool that they did their dances outside before going into the barn. Larry boogied with his mom to an old hip hop song for their special dance – it was so fun and special!
Inside the barn, special toasts were given to celebrate the newlyweds which brought everyone in the room to laughter and then tears, especially when Larry’s brother, Jamal, got the mic – there was not a dry eye in the room!
After wiping away the tears and enjoying a delicious dinner, we headed outside to explore the property for their newlywed photos. Between the beautiful golden light, the fields of wildflowers on the property, and Erica and Larry’s chemistry, their sunset portraits are truly breathtaking and unforgettable. They are just the cutest together!
At the end of the night, Larry took over the DJ booth as he enjoys DJing in his personal life, it was a hit and everyone was on the dance floor! There was such good energy all day. I loved watching these two light up around each other and everyone in attendance enjoy themselves.
Erica and Larry, your day was magical and I am so grateful to have been a part of it. Thank you so much and I wish you guys all the love and happiness. Cheers to you both!
