Ashleigh and Nat’s scenic Vermont wedding at Burke Mountain in East Burke, VT, was a picturesque celebration that perfectly captured their love for each other and the great outdoors. Every detail was thoughtfully planned and I loved all the details that came together. A couple of my favorite details and standout elements were the hand-painted invitations and centerpieces by Nat’s talented sister. The invitations featured the iconic Willoughby Gap, which was visible from the deck at Burke Mountain Hotel.
Ashleigh wore her mother’s wedding dress, which she had altered, although it fit her perfectly from the start! The dress was stunning and Ashleigh looked absolutely gorgeous. Her colorful bridal bouquet, featuring orange, yellow, blue, and pops of hot pink, added a burst of vibrant color to her elegant look.
The couple shared a sweet first look by Island Pond near their church. The serene waterfront location, with mountains in the background, provided a stunning backdrop for photos. Boaters passing by honked in congratulations, which was so fun!

Afterwards, we headed to the church for their heartfelt ceremony. Once they were officially Mr. and Mrs. we captured some beautiful newlywed photos outside the church, using the striking red doors as a backdrop.
The wedding reception intertwined the couple’s love for skiing and hiking and the beauty of nature. Small tree logs held the hand-painted centerpieces by Nat’s sister that showcased different mountains the couple had conquered together. Beautiful wildflowers in vases also decorated the tables. Even the wedding cake featured icing versions of vibrant flowers found in Ashleigh’s bouquet, tying everything together.
Although their beloved dog, Grizzly, couldn’t attend the wedding, he was honored with a life-sized pillow version of himself. The best man even gave Grizzly a special shout-out during his toast, showing just how much he means to the couple.
One of the sweetest moments of the reception was when Nat’s dance with his mom turned into a giant family dance, including both Nat and Ashleigh’s parents and siblings. The love and joy shared among the families was so sweet and heartwarming.
As the night came to a close, we headed back outside for stunning newlywed photos at sunset. We made sure to capture a few shots on the ski lift and outside the Burke Mountain Hotel, providing a perfect ending to their magical day.
Ashleigh and Nat, it was an honor to capture your special day. Here’s to a lifetime of adventures and happiness!
