Set atop a breathtaking Central Vermont mountain, Mountain Top Resort offers over 700 private acres of woods and meadows, sweeping views of the Green Mountains, and a pristine lake. It’s no wonder Julia and Matt chose this stunning venue for their Vermont summer wedding. With its idyllic scenery, Mountain Top Resort provided the perfect backdrop for a day filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable moments.
Julia and Matt’s wedding featured gorgeous summer colors of various hues of pinks, peach, light blue, and lavender. Julia’s bouquet was vibrant with deeper purple flowers and brighter pinks that popped next to the softer white and pink flowers that balanced it out. Julia added personal touches to her bridal attire, using hangers from her childhood home for her dress and bridesmaids’ dresses. She also wrapped an anklet that her mother gave her father around her bouquet, adding a sentimental touch.
Getting Ready
The day started with the girls popping champagne in matching pjs, a fun and celebratory way to begin the festivities. As they got dressed, Julia practiced her vows, eagerly awaiting the moment her mother would help zip her into her stunning wedding dress. Meanwhile, Matt got ready with cufflinks featuring their dog Ollie’s face. Ollie also made an appearance on their cocktail napkins and the top of their cake, a sweet nod to their beloved fur baby.
After the bride and groom were wedding ready, they met on a porch for a private first look. They shared this intimate moment together before we moved to the second story porch overlooking the property and providing gorgeous views of the mountains and scenery all around. Even though it was raining, we didn’t let that dampen our spirits or the beauty of the event. We captured many of their photos under shelter, and luckily, the venue had numerous covered spots, especially at their getting-ready house. The rainy weather added a touch of coziness and intimacy to the day, making the moments even more special.
Vermont Summer Wedding
Julia and Matt exchanged vows on the top floor of the event barn, surrounded by their family and friends. Their vows were heartfelt and sweet, bringing tears and laughter to everyone present.
During their cocktail hour, the rain finally broke for a few precious minutes. We seized the opportunity to whisk Julia and Matt outside, taking advantage of the stunning property without umbrellas. The brief break in the weather allowed us to capture some beautiful outdoor wedding photos.
The rest of the evening was spent inside the beautiful barn setting decorated with twinkling lights, laughing and dancing the night away as everyone celebrated the new Mr. and Mrs.!
Julia and Matt, your beautiful summer wedding at Mountain Top Resort was truly a day to remember. It was an honor to capture your special day and witness the start of your new journey together. Here’s to a lifetime of happiness!
