Kate and James’ North Shore Wedding at The Hellenic Center was a picture-perfect day. The wedding venue in Ipswich, MA features beautiful landscapes, a historical, Georgian-style mansion, and an elegant grand ballroom, perfect for dancing the night away! It is described as a hidden gem of the North Shore and a top New England wedding venue! The Mansion at The Hellenic Center also includes suites for getting ready, which is where Kate and James got ready adjacent from each other.
The bride’s elegant gown had beautiful lace detailing at the bottom of its long train. The bridesmaids wore dresses in deep jewel tones of yellow, red, and teal. The rich and bold colors were a lovely variation from the more typical lighter hues. I love that Kate and James went for a different look by incorporating this beautiful color palette. While the bridesmaids held smaller bouquets of white flowers and greenery, the bridal bouquet featured flowers in the jewel tones creating a cohesive look that balanced and complemented each other.
Before the ceremony began, Kate shared a sweet first look with her dad and James. Kate and James’ first look and private vow exchange took place in front of the historic mansion. It was the perfect opportunity to capture wedding portraits against the beautiful landscape, and knock out the family and wedding party photos before the ceremony. This allowed them more time later in the day to spend with family and friends during cocktail hour!
North Shore Wedding at The Hellenic Center
The outdoor wedding ceremony took place in the gardens of the mansion under a grand oak tree. It was a serene and gorgeous location for the couple to say, “I do”. After sealing their union with a kiss and grand dip at the end of the aisle, the couple went on to enjoy cocktail hour on the lawn behind the mansion.
Then everyone made their way indoors to the ballroom to continue the celebration. Kate is a HUGE Taylor Swift fan. They made sure to incorporate T-Swift throughout the day by including her music as they got ready, as well as the seating chart which read “at every table, I’ll save you a seat”. These personal and unique details are my favorite. Knowing that this wedding and the details were custom to them makes it even more special!
Later in the evening as I was waiting for the “golden hour” for photos, we saw the sky light up like fire, with the most bright yellow, orange, and red colors swirling together. It was an AMAZING sunset and we had to sneak out before dinner to take advantage! It was breathtaking! The rest of the evening was spent dancing and celebrating the newlyweds and their future together!
