Jess and Tim got married last September with an intimate micro-wedding at their home in Warren, NH. However, they still wanted to have a formal celebration with family friends. So, this August, with all their family and friends gathered, they celebrated their marriage at Alerin Barn in Vermont!
Since they had already tied the knot, their morning routine was different from most of my weddings. Both bridesmaids and groomsmen got ready at the same location. The morning was filled with laughter and everything was so easy-going as there weren’t any wedding jitters.
Everyone in the bridal party wore matching Converse, which of course I snapped a picture of! They also brought their dog, Zip, who they only got a few weeks before their micro-wedding last year. It was crazy to see just how much he had grown! Below, I’ve made sure to include a side-by-side picture of him at their micro-wedding versus their wedding this August.
A decorated wagon being towed by a tractor brought the guests to their ceremony location, which was at the top of the hill! For their ceremony, Jess and Tim had Jess’s dad “officiate”. Since they were already married, he shared with guests stories from how they met, the proposal, and how the first year of being married has treated them. He sealed all his stories with a prayer, and Jess and Tim danced their way back down the aisle!
Outside under the pavilion, a cocktail hour was held complete with horseshoes and corn hole. They also had a bonfire for guests to enjoy. In lieu of a traditional guestbook, they had all their guests write down date ideas for them in a leather notebook.
For their wedding reception, the barn on the property was beautifully decorated with various glass bottles that Jess and Tim actually collected on various hikes & walks near their home. They filled the colorful bottles with wildflowers. They added another personal touch by having their personal vows from the year before printed for everyone to see!
It was full-circle for me to get to celebrate Jess and Tim again almost a year after their at-home wedding. I was so happy that Jess and Tim (and Zip!) got to celebrate their love again. And, this time, with all their family and friends!
