Jessalyn and Matt tied the knot last Friday with a fun-filled spring wedding at Josiah’s Meetinghouse. I had been counting down the days until this wedding since the day that they inquired, as Jessalyn painted the most beautiful picture for me in her email! She wanted their wedding to be filled with genuine love and positivity, and she wanted it all captured so that she could look back on the photos years from now while waiting for her grandchildren to arrive for Sunday dinner. Their wedding day was nothing short of love and joy-filled, and I felt truly honored to be a part of it.
The day went off without a hitch, from getting ready to late night dancing. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful day, as the sun came out just in time for their ceremony and the warm air surrounded us. Jessalyn and Matt’s wedding was filled with sentimental details too that made my heart swell. Matt’s wedding band was even made out of a skateboard to commemorate his favorite hobby! On the inside of the band, their initials and wedding date was engraved.
Their ceremony was heartfelt and filled with personal details, from hand written vows to their children playing a part in their bridal party. Little Sebastian even had the coveted role of Ring Bearer and carried a special briefcase to protect the rings! Toasts were given at the reception by Jessalyn’s best friends and Matt’s brother, which made everyone shed a few tears. The rest of the night was filled with laughter and dancing, and even a s’mores bar!
Here are just a few of my favorite images from this beautiful spring wedding at Josiah’s Meetinghouse…
The most perfect backdrop for the dress shot.
I loved their matching robes!
Little Finley was so excited to be a flower girl!
The biggest smile came across Matt’s face when he saw his bride!
And come on, how cute are these flower girls and ring bearers?!
The first kiss!
THIS is the kind of fun you should be having during family formals!!!
Time for some romantic bride and groom portraits in the glowy light ❤️
We kicked off the reception with their first dance!
Matt decided not to smash cake in Jessalyn’s face – he knew better!!
Jessalyn and Matt, thank you SO much for selecting me to document your wedding. I hope that these images serve as keepsakes for the rest of your lives, and I cannot wait to see your love story grow.
