I had the most wonderful time this past weekend capturing Kate and Steve’s Glen Magna Farms Spring Wedding in Danvers MA! There were so many intimate and special moments throughout the day that I am thrilled I was able to witness and document! Their romantic garden wedding ceremony and beautiful tented reception was a wedding dream come true!

To start the couples’ wedding day, I photographed Kate as she got ready in a hotel room at the Boston Marriott. Once hair and makeup was finished, we made our way over to the venue for Kate to put on her finishing touches in the Glen Magna Farms bridal suite. Kate’s mom was there to help her with her dress. I love capturing those special moments as a bride gets ready! The bridesmaid’s expressions as they saw the stunning bride for the first time in her dress was priceless! I also grabbed some detail shots of Kate’s shoes, which her grandmother made. The earrings were her grandmother’s as well. I am all about the sentimental details!

The First Look

After getting ready, Kate headed to meet her groom for a first look! Their first look took place under a gorgeous willow tree, which was the same one the couple stood under when Steve proposed! How romantic is that?! Capturing Steve’s reaction to seeing Kate was one of my favorite parts of the day! I loved seeing seeing his genuine emotion in that moment as he teared up seeing his future wife! He also teared up during the ceremony, which proves that a first look doesn’t ruin the emotion or “the moment” of the ceremony.

Spring Wedding at Glen Magna Farms

Kate and Steve both LOVE wine! They incorporated their love of wine by doing a twist on the unity tradition typically seen at ceremonies! Instead of using a candle or sand, they used wine, by mixing two different wines together and drinking it! I love that they made this moment about them!

After their beautiful ceremony, the newlyweds and I grabbed some stunning photos out in the gardens on the property of Glen Magna Farms, which is absolutely stunning, especially in Spring with everything in bloom!

The couple then went on to celebrate the night away with their friends and guests! For their wedding favors they had different bags of coffee beans and teas, which I thought was so smart and useful! As the couple cut into their wedding cake, Steve took the first bite for himself instead of feeding it to Kate! I grabbed the perfect photo of Kate face palming as she watched him take her bite of cake! It was such a comical, candid moment that I am so happy I was able to capture! It’s moments like these that will live on forever. This story will be retold dozens of times and it will be a wonderful memory they will share of their magical day!
