“The Notebook” Inspired Styled Shoot
We have been dreaming up this styled shoot inspired by “The Notebook” for MONTHS, let me tell you! We could so clearly envision a decorated canoe, an antique bike, subtle calls to the movie with the hair, makeup, and clothing, but with a present day spin. All of our mood boards came to life this past Monday, and I couldn’t be more thrilled with the results!
The shoot took place at a family friend’s lakehouse on Lake Winnipesaukee, and it was the best setting for our vision. From the dirt road to the secluded shoreline, it had everything we needed. While Kelli got to work on hair and makeup, Adriane began putting together the many floral arrangements, including the installation she had put together for the canoe! The sun shined through the trees all day, despite the original forecast for clouds, and we simply had the best time recreating these sweet scenes with our precious models.
Here are just a few of my MANY favorites from this perfect day…
Seriously, how precious are these two?! This is one of my favorite shots from the day. Between Olivia’s sweet pigtails & the stunning floral arrangement in the basket, I was swooning behind the camera!
I have worked with Adriane from Anaphora Flowers on many occasions, and I am always blown away by her creativity! This has got to be some of my favorite work of hers to date though…
Kelli from Glowing Moon Beauty absolutely crushed Olivia’s hair & makeup. I barely gave her any guidance in terms of a “vision”. I just wanted something inspired from the movie, but with a modern twist! And boy, did she deliver!!
Of course I had to get a few solo shots of these stunning bouquets, too!
During styled shoots, I always love getting photos of the other vendors in action, along with a few updated headshots for them! These two ladies put so much of their time and talent into this shoot, and I am so grateful!
As the sun went down, we began shooting in this beautifully decorated canoe! This was the part I was the most excited for leading up to the shoot!
You can’t tell in the photos, but the waves were crashing up against the canoe SO hard! I felt bad for Olivia and Aiden, the boat was shaking quite a bit! Luckily, the relentless waves kept the canoe up on shore. At least we didn’t have to worry about them floating away 😂
You know I’m a sucker for a good mountain view!
Thank you!
Another HUGE thank you to my fellow vendors who helped me bring this shoot to life: Anaphora Flowers & Glowing Moon Beauty. Definitely check these ladies out if you’re still in need of a florist or HMUA for your wedding!
