Last Sunday, I did the most amazing sledding themed engagement session! It was with one of my 2021 couples, Liz and Ben. Liz proposed this idea to me a few months ago, and I was over the MOON about it! Not many couples want to brave the snow for their photos, but these two absolutely killed it. I borrowed a toboggan from a friend, grabbed some hot chocolate from Dunkin’s, and met them at the base of the Clark Lookout trailhead. They even brought their BFF (Best Furry Friend) Maple to celebrate with them, and he was SUCH a good boy. I think he enjoyed the snow even more than they did!
We kicked off the session with some photos of them sledding down the hill, which was so fun! They snuggled up on the toboggan, and Maple made sure that he was never left out! After some laughs and tumbles in the snow, we began hiking up the trail. As we walked, we bonded over our love of dogs and the outdoors, and talked about how fun their wedding was going to be in August. It only took us about five minutes to reach the top, where we got the “best bang for your buck” kind of view!
The lookout showed the lake with Mount Sunapee in the background, and we all “ooh”ed and “ahh”ed for a bit before we resumed shooting. At the top of the lookout, I laid a blanket on the ground for Liz, Ben, and Maple to cuddle up in as they sipped their hot chocolate. It was the best way to wrap up the session.
