Ashley and Jeff’s joyful autumn wedding at The Margate Resort on Lake Winnipesaukee was truly amazing. Their New Hampshire wedding was set against the stunning backdrop of the lake and highlighted by their autumn wedding colors of burgundy, dusty rose, burnt orange, and terracotta. From their emotional first touch to their epic sunset photos, Ashley and Jeff’s wedding was a dream!

The day began with Ashley and Jeff getting ready separately, and we captured some fun wedding party photos before they shared their first intimate moment together—a beautiful first touch by the lake. Instead of seeing each other, they held hands, standing back-to-back, and exchanged private vows. It was an incredibly touching moment, with both Ashley and Jeff tearing up as they read the heartfelt words they had written for one another. This quiet time was so meaningful for them, and it set the tone for the joyful day ahead!

Not long after, Ashley shared another sentimental moment when she saw her grandfather for the first time before the ceremony. It was so sweet as they both were wiping away tears, and you could tell how much this moment meant to them!

Then, it was finally time for their ceremony, which took place under the lakeside pavilion that blocked the cool lake breeze, but still allowed guests to enjoy the water views. As the ceremony began, Jeff’s eyes welled with tears as he saw his beautiful bride for the first time, being led down the aisle by her grandfather.

Lakeside Wedding Moments

After the ceremony, I whisked the newlyweds away for some quick portraits before letting them join their guests for cocktail hour. The real magic came later when I pulled them out once more before dinner for some stunning sunset photos on the docks. By this time, the wind had calmed, and the golden sun was just peeking over the tree line, casting the most beautiful light over the lake. The combination of the lake and the soft glow of the sunset made for some truly gorgeous and epic newlywed photos of Ashley and Jeff!

Once the sunset wrapped up, Ashley and Jeff returned to their reception where the celebration continued. After cutting into their cake, they shared some special dances with their loved ones. One of the most memorable moments was Ashley’s dance with her grandfather, which was followed by Jeff’s sweet dance with his mother. Part way through the mother-son dance, Ashley and her mother joined them on the dance floor for a heartfelt family moment!

It didn’t take long after that for the dance floor to turn into a rager! Ashley and Jeff’s guests certainly knew how to party, and the dance floor was packed all night long with laughter and dancing. It was such a fun, perfect day all around!
