Emily and Joe tied the knot at Mountain Top Inn & Resort in Chittenden, Vermont, on a beautiful fall day! Although clouds lingered throughout the day, the weather held off just long enough for an outdoor ceremony atop “The Knoll.” With stunning views of the colorful fall foliage and Chittenden Reservoir, it was the perfect backdrop for the couple to exchange their vows. From the thoughtful little details to the mountain scenery, every part of Emily and Joe’s wedding day was truly special!
Chittenden, Vermont
When we arrived, we met up with Emily and her bridesmaids getting ready in a beautiful house on the property. The girls wore matching pajamas and sipped mimosas, setting the tone for a fun day ahead! Just up the road, Joe was getting ready with his groomsmen, with his dad helping him with the final touches. Once everyone was ready, we captured photos of Joe with his groomsmen, along with a few family portraits before the ceremony. Back with Emily, her mom and Nana helped her into her wedding dress, making for such a sweet moment! Once she was ready, we captured photos with her side of the wedding party and family before everyone took some time to relax and freshen up ahead of the ceremony!
Ceremony on The Knoll
When it was time for the ceremony, guests made their way to The Knoll with umbrellas in hand. Luckily, the rain stopped just in time! Joe’s father officiated, making the ceremony even more special. Joe waited at the altar as the wedding party made their way down the aisle. Soon, the doors at the top of the hill opened, revealing Emily, who was escorted down by her father. They walked down the aisle smiling as Joe’s face lit up seeing his bride for the first time. Surrounded by beautiful fall foliage, Joe’s dad shared some sweet words before the couple exchanged vows. Shortly after, Emily and Joe were pronounced husband and wife and sealed it with a kiss! They walked back up the aisle, stopping for a dip kiss along the way. Afterward, we captured family and wedding party portraits before staying behind with the newlyweds for some beautiful portraits together!
Wedding Reception
Once it was time for the reception, guests entered the beautifully decorated space, filled with thoughtful details and twinkling lights! The bridesmaids and groomsmen kicked off the introductions before Emily and Joe made their grand entrance. The newlyweds entered hand in hand as guests cheered, stepping right into their first dance beneath the twinkle lights. Afterward, Emily and Joe dedicated a special dance to Joe’s parents in honor of their 33rd wedding anniversary! They joined his parents for a few moments before giving them the dance floor. Before dinner, Emily’s dad shared a heartfelt speech. After dinner, Joe’s brothers gave a joint speech filled with plenty of laughs and sweet memories. The newlyweds then cut their cake and shared dances with their parents before opening the dance floor for the night! It was the perfect ending to a beautiful fall wedding in Vermont!
