One of the many perks of being a wedding photographer, aside from meeting wonderful people, is checking out all the gorgeous venues! I recently captured Ashley and Sam’s STUNNING Owl’s Nest Resort Fall Wedding in Thornton NH. Their wedding reception took place at the resort’s newest venue, the LakeHouse! WOW is all I can say! This gorgeous new spot did not disappoint! It was a perfect mixture of modern and rustic with wooden beams, elegant chandeliers, and breathtaking mountain and lake views. Natural light poured in from the windows, it was a photographer’s dream!

Ashley and Sam started their wedding day off getting ready on site in separate suites! Ashley’s bridesmaids wore matching terracotta robes while they got ready before changing into their beautiful bridesmaids dresses.

After Ashley was wedding ready, she shared a first look with her dad and gifted him a custom tie with a message on the backside and custom cufflinks, one of which featured a picture of them together when Ashley was a little girl. It was such a beautiful gift and a heartfelt moment!

Ashley then geared up for another emotional first look with Sam. There on the hilltop overlooking the White Mountains the couple shared an intimate first look before capturing a few dreamy wedding portraits in the amazing natural scenery!

Outdoor Fall Wedding Ceremony

Ashley and Sam’s wedding ceremony took place on the resort’s LakeHouse deck! Wedding guests watched the couple exchange vows while enjoying the White Mountains in the distance. Sam held back tears at the sight of Ashley walking down the aisle. He was choked up during most of the ceremony as he was so excited to be marrying Ashley. It was the sweetest moment as you could visibly see and feel their love for one another!

During their ceremony, they put letters they wrote to each other and a bottle of special wine they bought in Portugal in a box and locked it, with the intention of opening it to celebrate their anniversary! I absolutely love this idea! Their beautiful ceremony left everyone misty eyed. It truly was the ultimate celebration of love!

Inside the gorgeous lakeside wedding reception venue there was a charming river-stone fireplace in the center. The couple had two fall-themed signature wedding drinks and one signature margarita as a tribute to their new puppy Baxter!

The newlyweds laughed and cried during the heartfelt wedding toasts before sharing a special moment together out on the dance floor.
