Nicole and Jory finally tied the knot last weekend with an intimate fall wedding at the Groton Inn. This adorable couple met at work eight years ago, and they’ve been together ever since! Their goal for their wedding was to have a laid-back, intimate celebration of their love, and that is exactly what they got. Despite the pandemic, they were still able to celebrate with their closest friends and family, and it was nothing short of beautiful and sweet.
When I arrived at the girl’s room at the Groton Inn, I could tell right away that Nicole was more than ready to marry Jory. The room had a sense of calmness and anticipation all at the same time as Nicole put on each final touch. When it was time for the first look, I brought Jory out to a magnificent orange tree, and had him face away from the inn entrance. Like his bride, he was more than ready to get the show on the road and finally make Nicole his wife. Their first look was full of giggles and excitement, and swooning over the incredible foliage and blue skies.
Their ceremony was hosted in the Groton Inn’s courtyard, which was the perfect backdrop for their intimate wedding. The space was complete with all of the fall decor, including pumpkins and wooden flowers. Love filled the courtyard as Nicole and Jory tied the knot, and the affection of their friends and family was so apparent. We ended the night with some sunset photos and a celebration at Forge and Vine, the incredible restaurant next door.
Here are just a few of my favorite images from their fall wedding at the Groton Inn…
Their colors were navy blue and mustard yellow, what a perfect combo!
They really got peak foliage for their wedding day. Lucky ducks!
Their endless giggles made my heart melt!
The inn was decorated with pumpkins and mums. What a beautiful backdrop!
And of course we had to have some fun with the leaves. Is it a fall wedding without a leaf toss?
I think this one is my favorite shot from their day!
Their decor was SO autumnal, and the lighting for their ceremony was so even and perfect!
The first kiss! Woo hoo!
Nicole literally GLOWED during her bridal portraits! Swoon!
You know, just two kids running around in a field at sunset on their wedding day, no big deal.
Nicole and Jory, thank you for being so sweet and welcoming, you made my job too easy! Your wedding was so sweet and special, and I’m so happy that you two were able to find some light during these crazy times. Congratulations again!
