Manchester Country Club Wedding | Katherine + Sam

This Manchester Country Club wedding was simply gorgeous.  Everything about their fall wedding day was a dream! For starters, the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. The temperature was just right for their outdoor ceremony, with just a slight autumn breeze. The leaves were just starting to change, painting the landscape around Manchester Country Club. To top it all off, the abundant sunshine continued all day, and provided the most gorgeous lighting for their sunset portraits at the end of the day!

Getting Ready

Katherine included several stunning AND sentimental details on her wedding day. One of the details included a pair of sapphire earrings from her mom, which were originally gifted to her mom by Katherine’s grandparents. She pinned them to the inside of her dress as her “something blue”. She also wore a pearl necklace that her Nana had been stringing for her since she was born with the intent that she’d wear it on her wedding day! The pearl necklace paired flawlessly with the pearl earrings Sam gifted her for the wedding. On top of that, her stunning cathedral length veil was adorned in pearls.  She also had a flag pin from her grandfather that she pinned to her bouquet that he always would wear on his lapel for formal occasions.

After getting dressed, Katherine shared a first look with her bridesmaids and her brothers. I loved seeing her brothers’ pure and sweet reaction to seeing their little sister. Then, came time for Katherine and Sam’s first look, which was magical! The joy written on their faces was simply priceless. I loved that everything was onsite and we could really take our time during the first look and the portraits following. We slowed down and just allowed them to savor this moment together as we walked around the gorgeous wedding venue.

I loved the classic look and feel of the wedding with emerald green taking center stage as the main color with clean and classic white accents. The white rose bridal bouquet with baby’s breath was simply gorgeous and completed Katherine’s bridal look perfectly. To tie it all together, the bridesmaids wore emerald green dresses, all in different styles, and carried a bouquet of baby’s breath.

Their ceremony took place on the patio. We couldn’t have been happier to be outside on such a gorgeous day. Once Katherine and Sam were officially Mr. and Mrs. they shared a first drink together before joining their guests for cocktail hour.

Then, as everyone else made their way inside for the reception, we stayed outside for the most gorgeous sunset newlywed photos. Katherine’s veil was everything! We made sure to get plenty of photos of them together with that gorgeous veil flowing out behind.

The Wedding Reception

After their sunset portraits we jumped into the reception inside the modern and elegant event space. With simple, yet timeless details, everything reflected their vision. I loved the low bouquets of baby’s breath decorating the table. The couple also incorporated a few personal and unique details to make it their own. They included a bunch of Spongebob references throughout their day, as it is a part of their love story. Katherine’s opening line to Sam on the dating app Hinge was a Spongebob reference, “Is mayonnaise an instrument?” Instead of a wedding cake or dessert table, they had a candy table that featured Spongebob themed candy. Then, instead of a regular guestbook, they had a statue of Doodlebob holding up a Sharpie next to the wine bottles the guests were asked to sign!

Sweet toasts, all carrying a common theme, filled the evening. Katherine’s mom recounted a phone call she had with Katherine after her first date with Sam, where Katherine told her mom that she was going to marry him. Sam’s best man told a similar story, where Sam told him after his first date with Katherine that he had just met his future wife. These two were destined to be married from the start!
