I can hardly believe that 2021 is almost over! It’s been a big year for me and my photography business. As I look back at 2021 , I am incredibly grateful for the many wonderful moments. Here is my 2021 in review!
2021 In Review: Business
I photographed over 50 amazing, talented seniors, 20 beautiful weddings, and 25 lovely couples’ engagement sessions! Capturing these moments took me all over the New England area, and I loved every minute of it!
I also invested in myself and my business by joining industry leader, Hope Taylor, in her 6-month mastermind program! Her mastermind taught me how to break into the realm of photography education! This is a goal I’ve had for my photography business for a while, and it feels amazing to see it come to fruition! After the 6 month program, everyone in her mastermind went on a retreat in Charleston, SC. I had never been there before, but I am thrilled to say, now I have! It was so much fun and I had the best time!
I worked on a few projects this year focusing on photography education. First, I filmed and launched my first ever online course on posing for senior portrait photographers!! I also started my own YouTube Channel, where I release free educational videos every Friday! (Make sure you go check it out and subscribe!!)
This January, my work will be featured as the cover story in a New Hampshire wedding magazine! I can’t wait to see my photos on the cover of a magazine in stores everywhere. I am so honored to be featured!
2021 In Review: Life
On a personal note, I finished my Bachelor’s degree in marketing this spring – keep your eyes peeled for future educational content related to this! I smell a senior marketing course coming your way!!
When I wasn’t photographing my wonderful clients, or tackling my business goals, I was spending time with my dog, Finn! While spending so much time with my dog, I definitely took way too many photos of him – like WAY too many … at one point this year, my phone ran out of storage! Oops! He sure is cute though!
My boyfriend and I also started house hunting back in the spring, during the worst housing market ever. I don’t recommend this to anyone! It’s not going very well for us, but we are hopeful and still looking! 😂 Keep your fingers crossed that we find something soon!
It has been a wonderful, exciting year, full of so many accomplishments and dreams come true! I am grateful for all of you who have trusted me to capture your memories, taken my course, watched my YouTube videos, or who have encouraged and supported me along the way! In reviewing this past year of 2021, I am overwhelmingly thankful- and also pumped for 2022! I can’t wait to see what this next year brings, (hopefully, a house! 😂) Just know that I have more big things planned!
